Internet eXchange

IELO favors peering over internet exchanges however:

  • We would not establish dedicated sessions on IX when we both peer on the route-servers and if your prefix announced are the same.
  • The peering partner must peer over all common IXP, unless there is a risk of any saturation on a specific IX.
  • The peering partner must not peer from a remote location that has a too much latency with the next-hop.
